3.5 Daytime running lights

I read in my manual that Canadian cars have daytime running lights. Does anyone know if I can turn them on for my 3.5 us car

DRLs have been law in Canada for many years. Not sure if they came with the DRL module in the US.

I'd also be interested in this. It's so ****ing annoying how the Navi screen goes to night mode whenever I turn on the headlights.

Check this out. Not DRL but it lets you run the fogs without having the headlights on.

The DRL cars are different the the non DRL cars - they have seperate sections in the service manual detailing the extra parts.

You are welcome, look at the post directly above your last one. The owner of the company is a fellow owner and active forum member. He has also helped others do some really cool custom modules.

If your intentions are to have the fog lights on all the time (to use as day light running lights) you really don't need the module. The key feature of the module is it allows you to control the fog lights with the OEM switch. If you want them to be on whenever the car is on you can wire in a relay directly to an ignition feed that drives the fog lights. This way, whenever the ignition is on the fog lights are on.

However, if you still wanted to have a bit of control you could install the fog light module and just leave the fog light switch on all the time. The module has an ignition input and automatically shuts the lights off when the ignition is off. This way, you won't ever have to touch the switch, but if for some reason you wanted to turn the fog lights off you would have that option.

The foglight controller module is only for the coupe, right?? not for the Sedan.

We have someone testing it on a sedan right now - but in the past we haven't been able to get it to work on the sedans - the sedan BCM is completely backwards from the coupe BCM.
