That most likely has more to do with the shape of the reflector and headlight design rather than the K output of the bulb. The reason you can see better in the altima is because the light output is used more efficiently and being cast correctly.


4300K vs 6000K....the 4300's are "brighter" to the human eye because our eyes have less "blue" receptors in them.

If you actually want to SEE, stick with 4300K. Us engineers are bright guys and usually do things for a reason.

where's the best place to get philips 5000k for under $200 new? is it possible, or is ebay a bad idea?

the "5000k" on ebay are not 5000k, they are 4300k 85122+ bulbs that the 06+ projectors already come stock with. There was some misinformation spread across the internet that the 85122+ were 5000k, but you need 85122CM for 5000k

I ended up buying the eagle eye brand ones. They come tomorrow so I'll let you know how they are

idk haha i'm going to put my eagle eye 5000k bulbs in today when it stops raining and I'll post some pictures compared to my 6000k bulbs so you can see the difference in output. Is it bad to change lights when the housing is wet?
