Swapping 03-05 ballasts??
I can't find any threads on how to swap the 03-05 ballasts onto the 06-07 projectors. I just purchased a brand new set of headlights. Also mygfrenzy.com forum is down and I remember seeing it there awhile back. Is there a specific way of removing it and putting it on the 06 projectors? Thanks
They install the exact same way as they are removed from your old headlights, only onto the new headlights. Just by looking at them is should be pretty obvious. Remove 3 screws, unplug, remove 1 small screw holding ballast wire, reverse procedure for install
Thanks! I was able to get the whole conversion done in like 2 hrs. I know that's long but i took my time and was my first time doing this on a G35. What took the longest was trying to remove the headlight harness. That was a PITA, I felt just giving up and doing it the next day. But once I got it off, the passenger side came right off in seconds. 06 projectors look amazingly better in all aspects! Thanks again for the help!
Thanks, hopefully I can get it done tonight afterwork.
So no matter the ride height of your car, the lower step of the cutoff should still be between 2.1-2.5" below the middle of the projector? And pretty much if your riding stock height, lowered or slammed. The aiming of the lights should essentially be all the same?
