Headlight Replacement Required?

Hi.

I recently damaged my front bumper on a 2004 G35x. Took it to a body shop today and they said that I need to replace one of my headlights as well even though they light up fine because the bracket for the lamp is broken & shifts around in the car.

Anyone know if this is this accurate or am I getting someone trying to pull a fast one on me?

the head light is held in place by 3 or 4 (not sure) screws. If you caused enought damage to distroy these connections then you head lights are just sitting in their palce and would shift around. If you have at lest 2 screws working it may be enought to maintain them in place for a while but its your risk.

One of my friend got the upper braket broken when he got an accident.
The headlight was sitting in the place but it was pushed in and there was a 1cm gap between headlight and the fender.
If just one bottom bracket in the middle of other two was the broken one, it wouldn't be matter but if other brackets are broken,
I recommend getting new one.
