How do you change speedometer lighting?

Hi, new to the forum, and new to my 2003 G35, but I must know, is there anyway at all to change the lighting of the speedometer? If yes, please give me any information necessary, and I'm sure others have this question too. I had not noticed any other threads pertaining to this, but if there is one, please direct me to it. Thanks...

I heard its more of a pain then not. Since you have to take off your whole dash to get into your speedometer

A couple of people have done it, but it was a lot of work, and the speedo/tach area was not only the hardest, but it was also very difficult to get an even brightness across them, lots of hot and cold spots. I know one of the guys that did it was very experienced in electronics and the lighting industry and still had problems. And it's not something that can be done overnight. Even if you do it in phases, plan on not having your car available for several days at a time.

I would say this is one of the most advanced mods you can do.
