I this a good deal...?

There is a guy at a local body shop that has a set of 07 headlights for $400 without the ballasts...

He says they are a set that are being recalled by Infiniti bc of being too bright...?

Just wondering if its worth the money

I think it is good. Cuz the vendor sells the brand new one without ballast (includes bulbs) for 500ish + tax and shipping from what I saw...(not sure for tax and shipping though) Also that headlights are black out right?..Can't really see the datail since the pic is not good...use DSLR!!..

It's a decent deal, I'd try to get him down to $300 especially since they're recall headlights. But if you really want them and he's firm on $400, it's not a bad price.

Also make sure to turn the lights over and check the border to make sure all the plastic tabs are intact. They often get broken while being uninstalled or moved around.

if they are the recalled headlights there recalled for a reason.
not to be used on your G35. i think the recalls for the 06 projectors
were b/c the bulb was placed at an angle and blinds on coming traffic.

id rather save and purchase a new set from rick or tony@riversideinfiniti

Thanks for the input guys.

I went to take a look at them today, just to be sure the 06-07's do not have the clearance light on the side of the lights correct...?

Thanks, the shop owner is getting them from a dealership I believe and he is local so no dealing with shipping.

Any input or write-ups anywhere on swapping these out?

Search for bumper removal. From there it's pretty straight forward. I think there is 2 bolts that are hidden behind the bumper the rest are visible.
