Projector vs. Reflector headlights

To those who have an 03-05 that changed their headlights over to a projector, was it worth it? Is the light output that much better or is it better just for aesthetics?

Much better lighting, you do loose the clearance strip light and the park light feature in the signal light.

So, I put in the set that I had put in the TL lenses in, and let me tell everyone that has an 03-05: it really, really makes your car look a tremendous amount better. The light output is amazingly better and my cutoff line is very nice as well Overall, i'm happy with this set (can't wait to finish my quads tho )

I don't see why projectors would make your headlights any brighter. Same bulbs (essentially) and same 35 watt ballasts. Then again, I'm not headlight guru. IGT will know.

even though its the same wattage, its all about how the light is focused.

+1

The way I understand it is that a lot of light escapes upwards with a reflector housing, but a projector housing focuses more of the light in one area (the ground)

I'm referring to the resident headlight guru for this.
