do you guys know if theres anyway around taking off the bumper to put new bulbs in?

^^^ you don't need to take it off, just slide the front end down.. then you can take off your headlights to put the new bulbs in..

You do not have to take the bumper off to change the bulbs, you can access from the wheel well, just remove the wheel well liner and you will have access to the back of the headlights.

i think anything above 5k is pretty bright.

Actually, it's the exact opposite. Anything above 5k is relatively dim.


The color from HID's come from the cut-off. The actual light is bright white.

Especially for those with projectors, pull up in front of the garage. Notice the white is bright white, and the very top line is purple.

Actually, typically people who have the colorful HIDs tend to have them aimed higher than what you're supposed to, giving the effect of it being really bright. Plus, more color stands out a lot more so your eyes will focus in on it a lot also.

Thanks for reviving a three year old thread to get a question answered that is already in the thread above. BEST is subjective if you are talking about color, 5k if you speak of light output.

Actually, there's a reason the stock bulbs in most cars are 4300K.
