Deng man, you're one dedicated guy to be dealing with so many small led's, i'm surprised u have'nt gone thru a few dashboard circuit boards yet. I know if i were to do such a thing, i would of gotten pissed eventually and cracked something. Good work.
btw, i remember u did soemthing like this on the Accord back in the accordclub.com days....so just let everyone know, he has practice!

You're freaking insane, dude! That's sick! I would love that on my Caribbean Blue Coupe! What are you going to do about the display above the clock? LOL

Re: LED project part 3... GAUGES REVEALED (56k haha)
thanks for all your feedback. it was definitely a pain the *** to do.. for 2 nights i stayed up till 4am to somewhat complete what i have pictured haha. I don't think i can do this for anybody because i'm afraid i might mess up but i could help you out.
I don't know more of a DIY you guys want ... i thought this was good enough? lol
as for the needles. i have to do something about it because the LEDs aren't lighting them up.. I was thinking the other day that maybe i should use regular clear bulbs and put a blue film instead as skaline stated.. dark blue tint maybe. i'll probably buy some this weekend and try it out and show you guys if it's any good.
also you can still use the dimmer switch to adjust the intensity. To determine the full brightness of the LEDs you have to look at the specs of the LEDs to see what resistor they need to give out the fullest output. right now i'm using 331ohms resistors.
as for the display above the clock.. i have to take a look at it this weekend. I only have time to work on the car half the weekend really...

Can you post some sort of guide on how to solder these LED? any trick or tips? I wonder if I can take out the dashboard and have one of those cell phone mod shop to replace all the LEDs.
Also, I read somewhere that instead of sanding off the orange film you may be able to do with "goof off" or nail cleaner.

Man, why'd you have to do this.. Now I'm going to have to take apart my dash again! Haha..
great writeup, no more of a DIY needed.
You ever thought of white, instead of blue? My parents' ES300 has white gauges, and I love it.
Do you think leaving the gauges and radio controls white would look bad?
You mind telling me where you bought those LED's from? I need to see how much white ones cost.
Thanks for this writeup, looks great.

FRIGGIN AMAZING!!!! Nice job!! What are you going to use for the Redline and above on your Tach (can you use Red LED's w/o the 2 different colors making purple)? Same for the temp gauge - Hot Zone? All i gotta say is you have huge 8alls!!!!! Take alot to rip everything apart like that!!
The first thing I said when I got the G was they should have used Blue!!! Much sportier looking!
NICE WORK MAN!!!

Hey accordfreak, I had an Accord too before I got my TB 6mt g
First just like everyone else has said, it looks awesome, I'm gonna do my soon
well this is my first post and I wanted to ask you how did you take out the gauge sheet? Did you sand off the color without removing the needles? did you just bend the sheet and sand?
Thanks,
