The regular Piaa Extreme white bulb does end up with a purpleish hue to it. But I'm not sure if the white light output matches 6000k.
What about the piaa white/white LED? That has a noticeable higher kelvin rating when compared to the HIDs, so that might give you the 6000k look. But those end up trailing to a blueish hue towards the bottom of the strip. You may want to check for a new piaa japanese LED bulb which is supposed to be brighter.

i myself do not prefer the PIAA. i used polargs in all my lighting. the M-4s are for the side and clearance.
