Fog Light Replacement Bulbs?

Does anyone have any suggestions on the best replacement bulbs for the crappy fog light bulbs that come stock on the G? I hear the PIAA Super GTX Plasma bulbs are good, but does anyone have other recommendations?

It depends on what you're looking for. Are you trying to match the hue of the HID's or are you trying to get exotic?

The Super Plasma GTX have a purple tint.

Looking forward to the pics. May I ask how much you paid for the pair and where did you get them? Thanks...

suvlights and they were $55 for the pair. I splurged a bit for the Philips. I've heard bad things about the PIAA and Sylvanias burning early.

Nothing exotic really, just trying to get rid of the stock bulbs. I would like the fog lights to look like the HID headlights, and if possible get a blue hue to the fog lights. I look forward to seeing your pic's.

I assume that you did not need to buy an HID kit in order to use the Sylvania bulbs, correct? I don't want to spend lots of $$ on a kit.

I installed the 8000K bi-xenon kit from HIDexpress.com great kit and it's a perfect match for the upgraded 8000K low beam bulbs

Yes...Sylvania and PIAA and a host of other companies sell the H4 bulb. Its not HID. If you want HID, you will have to go with a kit. I hope my Philips DV bulb will be good enough.

Which bulb looks closest to the stock HIDS? I like having my fogs on but hate that off white B.S.

Thanks.

I have to agree the stock fogs look a little too yellow with our HID low beams....but they are better for fog purposes compared to aftermarket whiter bulbs....
I have the MTEC H4 super whites....I like the match, but I think you will lose some power going with the higher temp...It really doesn't bother me, but I will be switching to Philips 6000k low beams in the spring, and I doubt the MTEC's will match any longer

Here's a couple shots of my car with the MTEC's and Piaa extreme white bulbs in my corner and clearance lights

I like that look Gr8 - you have a better looking match than most. I'll have to pick up those bulbs...

GR8TG35 Pics

Those pic's look pretty sweet. I like the fact that the bulbs match. That's what I am trying to accomplish.

Does anyone have a good source for the MTec bulbs? I see them on ebay, but I'm always nervous about buying from someone there that I haven't heard anything about!
