Here's a dual projector set up in the works.

The shroud for the lower projector needs final fitment, then they have to be aimed. The wiring also needs to be done. It's TSX's in the low beam, RS6 bixenons in the fog/high.

If all goes well, the clearance strip will be CCFLs.

I would upgrade to projectors for the cutoff line. For me, the sharper the better now.

Dude, how many times do we have to go over this. What you are saying is completely untrue. I have scientific fact backing my statements up. What do you have "Oh it looks ok". You even posted a picture of your output with obvious glare spots and hot spotting.

Do you ever think to yourself why the USDOT is going after HID "Kit" suppliers? Too many uninformed people sticking HID bulbs in halogen reflector housings and blinding the general public.

I really doubt that.

Oh man E_K I dig! Lookin sweet. Did you shroud the complete TSX projector or only the front half? It looks like you didnt use the reflector as a mounting point.

All I can say is the output on the Stanley projectors is nothing short of amazing. In fact I am heading out right now. Can't wait to cruise around in the dark. Good times.

I shrouded half the projector. It ends up sticking out the same amount as a E46 or E39 projector.

I finally gave in a realized that I needed a clear lens projector for the low beams. You can see how clearly the reflection is in the lens.

The shroud is polished metal sheets. The sheets are only $1 at the hobby store, but it took an entire evening to polish one of them to this degree of shininess.

Just like E_K stated I am running 6000K, the OEM 4300K were too yellow for me.

So do you still think everyone is droppin just 1k on new lights just for the added visibility..

Well I think most people use their headlights to drive at night vs. your notion that headlights are a great tool for attention whoring. Spending near 1k for a set of headlights just for looks is almost as bad as putting 8000K bulbs in a substandard headlight design.

Well, I dont think ricey 8000K+ bulbs can produce light like this:

That is my 4300K bulbs coming out a spacer modded Stanley projector. Awesome lighting with some bling.

PeteNJ, this whole argument is silly. Your correct my 8000ks dont light up as much as the 06 projectors im sure, but im young with good eyes, i have no problem at all driving with my lights at night. They light up the road more than enough, and I dont think they blind drivers becuase ive had people drive up and down a road in my car at night and i got to see them at a bunch of different angles. Its truly hard to get a true feel of HID with a camera due to the cutoff point, but here is 2 pics of my setup, one looks very bright and very white (yes this is with 8000k) and the other looks a lot more blue with less light, take a look I find it interesting..

tomorrow night im going to take some pics of how they light up the road.

I love how people think they are experts because they read up on stuff but have no real live experience. And like those week minded people want to see UFOs so badly, that they make themselves believe they see it, when theres nothing there.

But hey... if it makes you feel better... You are ABSOLUTELY right, and I'm competely wrong
