Does anyone know if i order a 05/06 clear lens with the hole already on the right size if it will fit in the 03 cluster? That way i dont have hole on the left side from the old cluster.

The speedo and the rev indicate also have two screws each that have to be removed, but it's hard to see where I circled them. Once you get the face off, there are about 6-7 screws attaching the electronics to the backing, which you must also remove, see pics.

2. Once you have taken the instrument cover off of the cluster backing itself, set it aside.

So i took this project on and have completed. One improvement i made was i was able to make the 05 lens fit on the 03 housing. That way you dont just have a random hole on the other side. Here is where i have it posted. http://bamagz.com/forums/showthread....-Build&p=42916

Looks sweet! What did you do to the 05 lens to make it fit?

I had to trim it up and then just glue it to the bezel.

Interesting to hear about the Key programming issue after swap.
I'm about to start doing the wiring harness for the swap.

Okay sorry to possibly revive this from the dead. I have read it over about 3 times. Did you all figure out if it really matters if you buy a manual or automatic cluster? I know Navi or non navi dont matter. I have a 6 speed manual. Also I understand most of what needs to be done I believe. Basically I need 2 harnesses one from the 05 and one from the 03. Re wire and splice and then its plug and play correct? Can someone PM me with detailed instructions. I think I understand it but then I dont haha. Also what happens if I get an 07 or an 08?

^ If you have a MT, you'll def want to purchase a MT cluster. Why? Not b/c it won't work with an AT cluster, but 1st - it doesn't look right. The AT cluster will show you in "P" (park) probably the entire time you're driving or whatever...2nd - the MT cluster has a sweet REV Shift Light you can set. I set mine to trigger at 4,500rpm. When I reach that rpm, a amber square light "flashes" - notifying me to shift. I personally think it's pretty slick.

If you don't care about all of the above, get either a MT or AT - whichever you can get for the cheapest price point on ebay.

Thanks Guys!
