Hey guys, I just wanted to get some input on whether I should keep my tail lights tinted full or remove the overlays and put on some GTR ones.

I have already purchased the GTR overlays 6/10 and was wondering if I do decide to go with them, should I keep the little center surrounds or just the two cut outs?

If you have any pictures of these on a LR coupe, please post them!!1

OP, it really depends on the look you're trying to achieve with your car as well as what the local laws will allow/let go and not receive tickets in your process of modding your G. Here is a link to some overlays that i've done but none in a LR to show you at this time since i have done so many that i dont keep alot of pictures now. GL with your decision.....

none of the above, tinted tails almost always look like crap. overlays are extra crappy looking. only nice tinted tails car is shane's imo.

Those color match ones... Are those sold like that? I've been debating on doing those for a while.

Tinted tails look better on darker cars. I have a DG coupe right now, black tints, blacked out rims, '06 projectors, clear corners, and...red tails. They stand out too much and ruin the theme.

 

Don't forget Maxzero's as well.

It is impossible to find a LR with tinted tails. I'm assuming those are 6/10 GTR style?

These are my current overlays.. Expecting to get the new GTR style in the mail soon. Hope they come out better than these did lol.

 

@gbert15 ... I like it looks good ... I have the same type of smoked tails but did it myself (the cutouts) ...

Those look nice already man but having cut outs would definitely set it off! IMO, cut out the 2 holes along with the reverse lights! The leds uncut should be fine! I actually wanted mine as dark as possible without distording the look of the small leds because they come off hazy if they are too dark!

These are painted though but from the pics I think that is already fine! Just need cut outs! Not sure about the middle insert though! Some have pulled that off nicely but its a definite no no for 03-05 Tails! A hard lesson learned for me!
