So plasti dip only comes in black? I plan to plasti dip my emblems and grill and stock rims for now but if i wanted a color on rims do i just go out and get some spray paint and spray it over the plasti dip? i know if its black I would have to put a couple layers on. Also is there anything else to do to the tire besides cleaning it? Do I have to put anything on before the plasti dip? So hat do you guys mean a thick layer? Just hold it in one spot for a while? I plan to peel the stuff off later with the paint on top. But if you decided to take the bronze off to go back to the silver is it a direct peel for it?

my friends wanted to test the limits of this stuff so we have painted our winter rims and what will become my set of stock 18" tracking wheels... EXTREMELY EASY to work with! I am a big fan of it! Really for ppl who just want to see how things look before committing to a color. Cost us 50 bucks in paint! Pretty good results...

Great job, JDM! Wheels look sweet. I see you went with the white plasti dip. BTW what brand and color paint is that on the 18's? Would like to see some pics of it on the car. Hope you did at least 4 coats of plasti dip.

I'm really curious and looking to PD my OEM chrome 17's until I find some ray 19's. Did you also spray the lugs or just leave them as-is? I'm trying to figure out what would be the best solution, chrome lugs probably won't look decent with matte black wheels...

To the guy who started the thread. How are your gold rims holding up. I want to plasti-dip and paint my rims high gloss black for a while then when the whole black rim phase fades away take it off and redo them a silver color. i have the 17" 2003 rims and the factory finish looks like crap. Is this worth it, or should i just pay some big bucks and get the prof. powder coated?
