This breaks my heart I really wanted the Inven from Eric. It's the only front bumper I've seen that I absolutely love!

whatever shop did the bodywork on that second pic either did a shi**y job or that car was in some sort of front end accident. also on that second pic, why is the top of his headlight sunk into the fender like that and the corner of the fender bent in? did his shop do that to make the bumper fit better or was it due to a previous accident? I have the revised version and it doesn't look anywhere near that bad. I just need to fix that one place where the tip of the fender rubbed too hard on the bumper and pushed the paint up like that.

HOLY CRAP !!!!!!!!!

That is some of the worst fitment I have ever seen in my life.
Who ever redisigned the bumper and added that fugly shelf should be shot, also the quality control is horrible.

If I was paying for the first one and I recieved the second one in the mail, I would be pissed.

Fitment is much better on that one, though you cant see up close. But that new shelf design still looks like dog crap.

The group buy going on now will NOT have the "Strafe Shelf". Need just a couple more people...

Ha Ha. I vote that the new bumper should not even be called an Inven. Instead it should be called the Strafe Shelf.

If it were called that, I would not have been suckered into buying it, and this thread would not exist.
What a concept!

I believe that is a new mold from VIS and the reason I say that, is because I bought it from them and thats how it looks...misalignment pretty much everywhere.

what you will get is:
***misalignment on the tabs under the grille (too short)
***misalignment on the fender (see below side shot)
***tabs that fasten bumper to the car just under the hood, are not long enough and will need a lay-on extensions of about an INCH, to be able to even put a clip in to hold it in place
***hood will hit the bumper upon closing
***vents would need to be trimmed to get a closer, yet still not close enough fitment.
***bumper may come with cracks, as it came to me, so get your bondo out
***bumper is not pre-drilled.
Bottom line, lots of tweaking to do, which bodyshop will gladly charge you for
If don't have the pics uploaded on photobucket, but can send them to your e mail if you want to see what I am talking about.
PM me your E-Mail if you want.
