Not part of the build, but part of the safety gear for the car. All the events have much stricter rules this year, and many are requiring a Hans device. Mine just got here! My racing suit, shoes, gloves, and helmet should all be coming in the next couple of weeks.

Redoing all the interior harnesses, removing all the unused wires, connectors, and bolts. Removed 13 pounds today, mostly airbag and radio/amp wiring.

I love a good no compromises build! what's the most extreme weight saver you've done?

The wiring and removing the sound deadening have to be up there. Both have been a hassle, and both only saved a few pounds. Since the cage is holding everything together now, I plan on trimming and using a dimple die on some of the interior panels next. I'll be going in for an alignment and corner balancing sometime soon, and I'm kinda curious about how much weight has been shed with the removal of seats/sunroof, but the addition of the cage and other safety gear.
