Had my original coupe(black) for 4 years, sold it 9 months ago. Then made the terrible mistake of "UPGRADING" to an 09 BMW 335i coupe, car hasbeen nothing but problems since day one. I have chimed in on a few threads in regards to that platforms reliability. Anywho... picked up a beautiful IP coupe yesterday from a private seller to use as my daily since my Break My Wallet is always in the shop. 06 with 85K miles kept in excellent condition, spotless carfax, all service records and a steal. Seller wanted 13K for it, I talked him down to 10.5. I'm so happy to be back, this model is my 1st love.





Lots of plans for this car but nothing major until after the winter has passed.

 

Amazing price and really clean quality interior and condition is MINT. You got real lucky for making a big dumb as mistake buying a BMW. Of course it is going to be in the shop that is how they guarantee shareholder growth and constant returns. You will notice with the G35 you bought it cost you less than the BMW, last you longer than the BMW and will spend more days on the road than the BMW. I really hope that BMW is adding to your manhood or helping you get laid since the G35 is the vehicle that is getting you to work every day and from point A to point B.

 

I definitely know that these cars are bulletproof. My 1st car had 1 major issue in the entire 4yrs that I owned it and was only off the road for 2wks total. The BMW has been in the shop 4 times in 8 months... WTF?! I can't wait until next yr so I can sell or trade this crap in towards something for my fiance and just be done with this whole fiasco. Got sucked in by the promise of easy power and cheap modding. Wld have worked out great if I cld ever drive the damn thing. But I had to come back to the G35, this biitch is timeless and I will always love it. Never getting rid of this one if I have anything to say abt it.

Cash is KING!! Well sort of, went with a certified check for 10.5 with 1K in cash in my pocket. I stood firm on my initial offer and the guy really wanted to get rid of it. Apparently it was a play car that he purchased 18 months ago for his much youger, hot girlfriend... That cheated on him! Every time he saw the car in his garage he got pissed off. Lol. Can't buy LOVE I suppose. As far as plans for it, I have a mod list 20+ items strong at least. I will be updating this thread over time.

Not a fan of this surfboard spoiler at all. Only thing that's bugging me. Hopefully I can find someone going back to stock with an IP Hikkatadori or Strafespeed trunk that I can trade with. That will be the 1st thing on my list to do even though I didn't want to touch any body parts until my suspension and wheels were done...

 

so wat kind of issues did u have with the bmw?

 

High Pressure Fuel Pump went out on me twice. Engine overheated and died after a couple of hard acceleration runs, nothing crazy, the FMIC is complete crap. Then my fuel injectors failed. The N54 is just not a good platform. They did not really put the time and effort into putting a decent TT on this engine. A lot of ppl end up with blown turbos too... Something else to look forward to.

 

Just changed my spark plugs, emptied and refilled all my fluids and did my 1st oil change. Also did my 1st mod and debadged to Mt Fuji.
