we did them at 300 degrees. i didn't actually time them. you basically want them to get hot enough that the glue that holds them together is easier to pull apart. i put them in and checked them every other minute or so.

a. heat gun would be safer.
b. didn't clear out turns cause i don't want clear turns.
c. i would agree that any other color would be ricey. ie. red car with red housing. for some reason as see it different for black.

pay no mind to the dirt.

haha, thank you. Why does everyone think that all lenses look better clear?? IMO that fad is gone

Your lights came out looking very good. What did you use to paint them?

You don't need hi-temp paint cause it really doesnt get that hot in there but it doesnt hurt to use it.

Did you use primer before paint?

Post up some pics of the tailights and some day pics of the headlights when you get a chance.

Painted headlights are sexy

Jeremy... You didn't sand paper the bezel or anything besides just some alcohol?

And as for the clear blinkers, you have to dremel out the orange plastic and it's a PITA...

He did it here... https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v35-2003-06/193262-headlight-work-matte-black-cleared.html

I'll be doing mine tomorrow... hopefully...

^I didn't dremel out the orange cover. It actually snaps into place so I just snapped it out. I dremeled out a new clear cover out of a flouresent light fixture cover.

The only thing I worry about not having sanded down your lights jeremy or adding primer is that the paint didnt have a good surface to grab onto which may come back later and flake/crack. Then again, it might be fine. You can always take it out again and do it over.
