Well, i've gotta start my Xmas shopping. I usually wait for the first big storm and then hit the mall while everyone is home shoveling!

Depends on how far down the tires are worn. Blizzaks work best when new. The thread designed for the snow only take up have the tread block. So halfway down, they are pretty much worn out and useless.

Those are bad pictures so can't see how much they are worn though.

But $400 for the nissan 18" wheels doesn't seem that bad

^Tire Tread Depth is 4/32 for 2 of them
The other two are 7/32

does this mean theres not alot of tread left?
and these are oem 17's not 18's

Hm...dunno where i got 18" then

Here's some old blizzaks i have. These are junk even though there is plenty of tread left. See the little squiggly tread lines? That's the special tread for the snow. These are worn down and they are disappearing. When that happens, the snow tire is not good in the snow anymore. Fine for regular tires, but not that great in the snow.

If the small bars are almost worn away, then they are not worth it

here is my "Champion"

went out to see how it'll perform in the snow.

I'll go back to the same warehouses tomorrow during the day with a camera this time.
