what if i go lower? i am going to be getting a VIP style rim so i may have to go lower to pull them off..

Papa has a 20x8.5 +20 with a 235 and he is LOW and I don't think he rubs

Even if you are slammed 8.5+20 will be no prob for sure. With a 225 tire I would say you should go more aggressive.

i may.. i just need to make sure i can get in and out of my work parking lot.. this is my DD and our parking lot is sloped.. certain angles now i feel like i am 3 wheelin

Thanks guys! It was lower before, was right but the rim but had to raise it due to ugly roads here in hawaii.

Sittin nice and low. With those tire sizes you should definitely add spacers to be flush.
