California Law is 26" from the center of the low-beam light. We can be dragging everything on the ground and still be technically legal.

the sidewall law is not a law per se....more like a pet peeve in some counties

i got a ticket in my bagged truck for both my headlights being to low and the body of the truck being lower than the lowest part of the rim at the same time.

the lowest part of the rim one is becuase if a tire blows out. you will start dragging the body or something else which in the cops words "is extremely dangerous"

Yep, that's what the last cop told me when I got a ticket for being too low...although the bastard measured from the outside of the wheel and not the inside. I didn't think of it till later. And my stupid splash guards up front screwed me over, not even the KuRookie.

Well, that refers to what the vehicle must be equipped with and limitations, it's not specifically about vehicle height.

You can even add OEM splash guards to that. That's what got me.
