The stainless is slightly darker than chrome, but not as dark as black chrome, nor does it shine as much.
You could try shooting them with a coat of overreduced black paint to give that effect, or just do straight up chrome.

Tim did 12pt bolts.
They look like this:

Another option is "button head" bolts:

Or "cap head" bolts (usually want to add a washer with these)

Chris did his these on his intake manifold.

Or you could always just get the regular hex-head bolts in a chrome finish... but that looks a bit too "classic car" for my taste.
no i mean which bolts in the engine bay. like where else in the bay can these be used

^Pretty much all of the bolts in the engine bay. Everywhere you see a gold or greenish bolt, it can more than likely be swapped out for a stainless steel one which you can polish.

^Everywhere.

I have them on both fenders, and every bolt in the plenum.

There are a crap-load of bolts all over the motor that can be replaced. Like Marcus said, he's replaced 130+ bolts.

i want to do the plenum bolts. both the outer edge ones. and the 6 in the middle.

i would need length and thread sizes. and i have a 5/16 plenum spacer

Right now I have OEM ones smoked. You can see from the pic, some of the amber shows through.
I want a set of non-bump clears to smoke.

IKR?!?? Only problem, when it's sitting on grass, it looks lower.
Pavement = 4x4 status

Freakin love it! Only problem is I traded my old camera w/ battery, charger, etc... and the new charger I ordered isn't here yet.
I killed the battery during this photoshoot, and haven't got to use the camera since
