No I bought the right ones. H4 6000ks.

And that bulb is from my old HIDs.

But I have figured out the problem. Looking at them in disgust again last night, of how crappy they look, I figured it out. If my old bulb was that small and was able to fit into the housing and clip in and was projecting correctly then something is wrong now.

Well my bulb is not all the way in (the exactly reason why it is projecting the whole inner headlight housing, and making eyelashes) due to the plastic backing on my new bulb, because they do not fit all they in and clip down. I can almost guarantee, I cut the plastic and fit them in correctly it will solve my problem.

Stay tuned. Thanks again for the help guys. It helped me brainstorm a little bit. This weekend I will fix them up and post pics of the install.

On the road

It literally looks like I have no headlight on. My light is basically all over the place except on the road.

My lights look like this

I have super eyelashes and I have no clue how to fix it. Because the low beam headlight housing doesn't allow room for the bulb and the shield.

HELP!

WOW... you sir are worst the most of the ricers on the road. take them off please.

looks exactly like how a halogen housing should reflect a HID bulb. See that 1st picture NONE of the lighting is making it to the floor, its all shining at the owls, squirrels and aliens. Aiming them lower will not help much because its still all over the place.

Its H4 for the fogs, you should not need to cut anything. There are notches so you put in the bulb the proper way, did you do that?

haha yes, not driving the car currently due to the fact I can't see anything. Aiming them lower won't help, looked back at my order from DDM and I ordered wrong kit. Great over look and a definite newbie move. AHHHHH great.....and now DDM is no longer stocked with D2R kit. haha thanks for finding humor in mishap.

You are correct, I bought H4 6k's not realizing I didn't order the D2R kit. I really thought I had the correct kit (when I was looking at the H4 6ks). So right now back to square one. Correct, man me and you went back in forth on this. Haha all the pictures and everything. Thanks again Screens for your help

Haha sorry for the confusion guys, just thought I was getting jacked around.

Found a spot here in Elk Grove actually that has the right kit, same price as DDM, just not slim ballast. Which is fine, just need to pick them up tomorrow and put them in after work.

I really don't think that was his desired effect...so would that still make him ricer? Also considering he's seeking for help.

Personally, I would go back to stock until you find a solution. With my experiences with "bi-xenon" bulbs, they tend to be horrible. I would say either stay stock if you want your high beams or stick with a single beam bulb.

DDM is going a different route, so no more slim kits for anyone. Kinda said that i finally made up my mind about getting HID fogs now and they are done. It tells me it wasn't suppose to be. So i'm sure someone will come in and take over hopefully.

Yeah I saw that. Haven't been able to post pics up yet of my new lights. Bought a kit for 55 and they aren't slim ballast. Install quick and easy. I'll post them up tonight if I get a chance

What kit did you buy? A kit for the low beams or the high/fogs? I'm confused....

why would you say stay away.... the owner of it is on most bimmer forums. He posted he wanted to veture into other stuff. i forgot what but he was still making bimmer related parts. His kits aren't bad at all from the 2 i've install for friends.

our cars aren't designed to house HID bi-xenon lights. the HID bulbs dont follow any regulation like the halogen bulbs we have OEM. So there is no telling what that is going to do. Its not DDM's fault, nor it is Nissans. Its just not compatible, beside all HID kits have the " not for road use" labels on them. So if you do glare up things your not suppose to be on the road be begin with.

Nothing wrong with the company.

I bought the H4 3k kit from DDM for my fogs off of DDM and I ordered the wrong low beam kit from DDM so I had to buy a new low beam kit.

I bought them from a place here in the Sacramento/Elk Grove area for 55.
Same kits as these some of these:

So I went to install some new HID fogs last night I purchased from DDM. I got the 35W slim ballast (I'm assuming I was one of the last ones to get my hands on one of these from what I've been hearing about DDM going another route. This made me wonder though how DDM would back up their lifetime warranty on their HID kits if they won't be carrying them anymore. I suppose they can just give us a refund without replacing the parts).

But back to my main concern. I have an 05 coupe and while installing the fogs I realized that I couldn't re-cap the fog housing due to the ballast's wires. So for the coupe guys, how did you guys end up capping the fog housing? Drilling, shoving everything in there, or another alternative? I appreciate the help.

^ I looked into it.

DDM is moving away from HID's being their main focus, but they will still be selling them, and they WILL back up their lifetime warranty.

Currently the slim Balast that I purchased and what many people buy is out of stock, and will re-appear once they get them in.
