^ IIRC 5k would give you the best light output. I think after 5.5kish light visible light drops.

Ok I just saw this post. This is how mine look. Except my low beam (6ks), do not project like this.

And when you say shield you mean the silver plate underneather the bulb? That needs to be facing like a U in the fogs? I had to take the shield off of the 6ks to get them into the head light. It wouldn't fit unless the shield was off of the 6ks.

My 6ks are on and lit up but the aren't projecting in front of me. It's like they are angled down at the road. And no I did not buy the Hi/Lo kit for the lights.

When I installed them, I put them in the head light housing with the bulb on top and the "white thing" under the bulb (for better use of a name) on the bottom, just like I have done with my past HIDs and the lights aren't looking right.

I did it and pretty happy. Looks great! My fogs seem to aim pretty high though and seems to shine right into people's rear view mirrors.

NO wrong. 4300k will put the most lumens on the ground. This is why the OEM guys all roll with that. They can pick all color they want but the best output is 4300k. 5-6k is more white/blue and people mistakenly think its brighter. The human eye cant tell the diffrent between a couple of lumens but 4300k has been proven the have the most light output. Anything more of 4300k will drop in output but at 5000k its not much difference.

Ok so working on my car a little bit. I put the shield back on and it looks to be better.

With shield

Without shield

Its still sunny here in Sacramento so I will have to make sure that the lights are good when its gets dark.

But onto my next question.
I still believe my 6ks aren't projecting right. If you bout the HIDs from DDM you know the bulb doesn't look like this:

Those are my old HIDs and those just fit into the housing, and where able to clip in. The bulb is the only thing that fits into the headlight spot.
The new bulbs have the shield and big plastic piece around the bottom of the light.

Well if I have to put the shield in with the 6ks I am screwed because there is no way the shield will fit in the headlight for the 6s.

PLEASE HELP! HAHA I can't be doing too much wrong, its just annoying. On top of having to mod the headlight cap to run the wiring through and stabbing myself and having little feelings in my left hand, I just want to get this fix haha.

Hopefully the pics and the description is enough to for you guys to get the idea.

Ok now that its dark out I went to look at the lights.

On the road

It literally looks like I have no headlight on. My light is basically all over the place except on the road.

My lights look like this

I have super eyelashes and I have no clue how to fix it. Because the low beam headlight housing doesn't allow room for the bulb and the shield.

HELP!

uh, is your sedan the halogen headlights, it looks like it.

Also you took off the shield, so that might be causing the fog issue.

I know, but I remember seeing a chart some place that 5k was the brightest and after that light falls off as you get more UV. I cant find this chart, so idk

no its just stock 2003 headlights. Same headlights I had with my other HIDs. And with the shield, it wont fit into the bulb housing. It literally will only fit the bulb.

My lights were stock halogens. I swapped them the first week I had it to the HIDs. Same kind of kit as the ones from DDM. Had the 6ks, and the ballast and all. The picture I posted in my previous post worked fine with no shield, thats why I am confused why these are giving me such a problem.

what exactly is giving that scattered light look the fog? Then its because you took the shield off most likely.

If its the low beams, then I have no idea did you buy the right bulbs?

Did you get the D2R bulbs? The bulb you were holding in your picture doesn't look like a D2R.

Yes the lense should be like a U and honestly haven't had the time to try the hi/low kit that my coworker has on his car to see if it will give the same glare.
