They wont chip if you prep them right and are careful when you install them.

hey did you ever get a chance to do this? I was looking around the forums but couldnt find anything.

BTW, how do you feel about the suede you used? and what adhesive did you use to stick it onto the headliner.

Thanks!

No I never got around to making a wrapping and painting one. Im gonna build a website this summer with DIYs and that one will be on there. Along with the work I have done for friends and at my job.

The adhesive was made by DAP and its contact adhesive made for upholstery. You need to spray it out of a gun.

The material was not the best choice. I would buy legit headliner material with a backing pad if I were to do it again. Im sure any local shop would sell it to you.

Looks awesome! Any inputs on prepping the panels (sanding and grit) before painting them? Also, what type of black color Sem Spray did you guys use? (Satin vs Landau) Thanks for the info!

Naughty240,

Just curious as to why you would use the factory headliner material over suede if you had to do it all over again? I'm glad I kept reading the thread and saw that the plastics still look good after all the time that has passed since you've done this mod.

Once I saw the guy lay down the legit stuff it just looked so much easier to work with. It is very forgiving and is probably better quality. I could tell it would simple to do with 2 people. Mine took 3 people and it sucked the whole time.

My pillars are fading a tad but its very easy to pull them off and wrap them again.
