So decided to weld the doggy door up on my trunk and shave the side moldings. Also fixed the big dent in the quarter panel. Hood was peeling so i stripped what i had to and primed it. Wife also got the side skirts hung up at her job so they split in half and had to fix them. I even went to her job afterwards and tried to figure a better way without raising the car and there was none so i had to raise the car up

 

Nice prep work so far man... Can't wait to see how it turns out! Got pics from how the damage looked before prep work? Jw.

 

I found some pictures of the side skirt and quarter panel. The quarter panel only shows the fender arch being messed up but a week after having the car a dodge ram hit my rear bumper and pushed it back and caused ripples in the quarter which was fixed also



This is a nice new product. You use a stud welder and melts a stainless support into plastic to make is structural again. I **** you not i put together a totally in half side.skirt with this stuff.

This side was not too bad but still needed to be fixed. After using these staples i grinded a v in the front and used somes short hair dynaglass and went back with some 1171 3m bondo and then 31180 3m finishing glaze

If you blow this pic of you can see the arch in the rear caved in. Stud welder was a life saver here. Pulled 98% out


Also for the guys that said you HAVE to weld the side.molding holes up you dont have to if you know what you are doing. Now i welded mine up BUT you can basically cause a dent where the holes are and you long strand dynaglass and make sure you push it in the hole so that way it causes a mushroom affect and will not crack.

 

Also thinking of plastdiping my wheels and the trim around the windows. Also know i need to do the inserts on the front bumper but no reason to right now since i will be painting the car hopefully soon. Any other thoughts that i should do besides spacers? Not wanting to do any kind of fender pulling. I think after taxes i will do my interior and also thinking about bagging her. Prob interior first. I kind of like the sparco r100 seats. Want to carbon fiber the a pillars and c pillars and dye the dash and such black

I wouldn't recommend plastidipping anything... Get wheels powder coated and paint window trim gloss/matte black and color match door handles!!.... That's what I would do if I had IP.

 

Color matching everything would be dope too....

 

I am debating color matching the trim and all. See i would.plasti dip it for the simple fact that i wont have to etch prime the chrome trim. And for the wheels my friend dis his and looked.really good and is a cheap way to see if i want black.wheels or not. And the car will not be IP when i am done. Painting it hot rod white by sem. Its a very bright semi gloss white


Its different and very durable. And way cheaper then wrapping the car. I will have around 200 dollars in paint, tape, and paper so i can't complain

 

I used that kit at work too, works awesome.

Not sure creating a low spot then paving duraglass over them is a option I would recommend. Duraglass is very strong and I use that and Carbofill when needed but I wouldn't shave molding holes with it.

But i know the alternative to welding the side moldings is not the greatest thing but for people that dont have welders or a way to get someone to its a option. May not be the greatest but there is one.

 

Installed my Centric rotors and Stoptech brake pads yesterday. Rear pads were the worst, one in particular. Definitely time for an upgrade. I'll be swapping the brake lines with Stoptech soon as well.

Night and day difference. Much better bite. Stops quicker. Old pads were really worn out. I'll be upgrading the brake lines to Stoptech braided stainless steel lines shortly.
