I give up....I need my dads tranny jack. Can't get a good base to angle the pumkin right. The one board I was using finally snapped

It's one of the low profile 2 ton Craftsmans. This is actually my second one. My other one finally gave out a few weeks ago. That one saw a whole bunch of work which is why I decided to just get it again. I still have to jack up each side and put 2 2x4's on each side so I could jack it up from the diff.

This is the one

I don't recall which jack we used when we did my swap. I do know that it was me and 2 others working on this during part of the time when doing the swap, that diff is heavy.

Looking good, it makes a huge difference when the covers are shaved.

Thanks. Im gonna break out my Millermatic and see what I can do before the winter comes. Your build has motivated me to open my hood and see what kind of trouble I can get in.

Yeah, one person and a regular jack/mount = not so easy. I got the transmission jack last night so I'll give it another go on Friday.

I have something else (small) I'm working on too, to add to this thread.

GreenGoblin would be king of this thread. He's done his whole car himself.

Oh man, awesome thread idea!

I'll probably contribute as much or more here, as I will in the "look what I bought" one.

Got a couple projects going on right now that I need to go snap some pics of.
