I diy'd a harness bar this weekend.

 

Cool, I didn't even realize you had racing seats. Details on the DIY?

So can you get passengers in the back seat with the harness bar installed?

can you still move the seat all the way back?? also where do you get one of these at?

I usually only have the racing seat in for track days, then I pull out the passenger seat and rear seat too. Could still fit people in the back with the bar but it'll come off when I go back to DD mode.

Materials were about $90. Main bar is 1.25" x .120 DOM . I sourced the struts from A circle track supplies site, they are swedge arms off a sprint car. The end brackets I bent from some 2" x 1/8" strap (made a jig for my shop press out of some 1/4" plate and some angle). Then welded it all up. followed the SCCA Harness bar reqs.

I needed the bar to be able to run the seat in the Extreme Speed 350z Competition Cup

 

I am loving the color of the rims. They look awesome agains the black paint

 

hwydrifter, I've heard that you can use 350z rails and sliders. Is this the truth?

 

anyone have a DIY on the JDM window visors?

 

should just stick em on the car .... thats what i thought
