That's how mine are installed, from the back. RRYDE cut out the amber then installed the clear lens from the back and added some glue.

Yeah I cut the reflector off. I figured it wouldnt work with it.

That's not a new way Stephen! lol That's how I initially was trying to get the projector lense to fit....grind it down so it mounts from the inside/back. The way I have it now is also mounted from the back.

and you have bigger openings Marcus so that's not fair!

Yea but the time it takes to completely grind it to fit inside the hole not just but up against it no one does.

We enlarged my opening slightly so it would fit in there perfectly, didn't modify the lens.

Yes, it is very time conusming. I spend over an hour grinding one down and then slip...scratched the lense....then again....then gave up. Never got it completely done. The way you described doing it with a bend grinder and belt sander would be the way to do it. I used a dremel....have you ever had melted glass on your skin before!?

I found a guy who is selling some 2" Lexus lenses. Im gonna jump on it.

Yours is a lot bigger Marcus. Yours are similar to 06 coupe lights. 03-04 are no where near close. Ill post up a pic of one I've grinded

Haha yea is like melted plastic sticking to your skin. I'd never attempt it with a dremel. You crazy

Dude....I had to work with what I had lol Yeah, I thought the same thing after the second drop of melted glass got on my skin lol More like stupid, not so much crazy haha

i color matched the housings on one of my old cars. it looked great and was very unique. i think IP housings would look great. dunno if the chrome or matte black gatlins would look best. try the chrome first. they can be easily painted.

Thanks for the input. I am also thinking about doing black housing and IP Shrouds. I will see what happens.

In for progress. I am retrofitting a set of minis into my 03-04 headlights within the next few weeks. Cant wait to see how yours turns out
