Goodluck with the project
That's how mine are installed, from the back. RRYDE cut out the amber then installed the clear lens from the back and added some glue.

That's not a new way Stephen! lol That's how I initially was trying to get the projector lense to fit....grind it down so it mounts from the inside/back. The way I have it now is also mounted from the back.

and you have bigger openings Marcus so that's not fair!

We enlarged my opening slightly so it would fit in there perfectly, didn't modify the lens.

Yes, it is very time conusming. I spend over an hour grinding one down and then slip...scratched the lense....then again....then gave up. Never got it completely done. The way you described doing it with a bend grinder and belt sander would be the way to do it. I used a dremel....have you ever had melted glass on your skin before!?

Haha yea is like melted plastic sticking to your skin. I'd never attempt it with a dremel. You crazy

How do you think this would look????
i color matched the housings on one of my old cars. it looked great and was very unique. i think IP housings would look great. dunno if the chrome or matte black gatlins would look best. try the chrome first. they can be easily painted.
