good read. Been doing some research on the Tanabe stuff myself and everyone seems to be happy with their products. As far as quality goes, looks top notch. I noticed in your pics that their exhaust hangers looks wierd so I checked their website and they use hollow hangers for weight savings. http://www.tanabe-usa.com/touringmedalion.asp?id=7

car looks good btw.

Thanks man. I agree that the Tanabe's build quality and overall look are top notch. That's the reason I've kept my Tanabe axle back and modified it to be a complete cat back system. No reason to get rid of such a nice exhaust.

We did a GB for them last year... Think they were $375 or $385.

Your system looks great. How does it sound at cruising speed 70-80 Mph?

Thanks man! It sounds great at 70+, but there's still a bit of drone around 60 - 65 mph in top gear.

I am not sure if someone already answered it but if they did, sorry for being that "guy". I am looking to just get an exhaust because I live in Virginia and the road maintenance is atrocious here, and there are so many potholes. I just wanted to know how the exhaust has increased the performance of your G? I really want to get an exhaust but want to know how it will improve the performance of car.

IMO the performance gains from just an aftermarket exhaust on our cars is negligable. You'll get much larger gaisn from HFC's or test pipes. That said, you really can't beat the sound of the HR or VHR engine with a decent exhaust on it.

Seeing that you are worried about your roads and potholes I would probably stay away from anything with large exhaust tips on it. The bottoms of my Tanabe tips are almost completely ground off because of them constantly bottoming out. Just something to think about.

2GoRNot2G, All,

Thanks for the Tanabe info. I think I would like to get some. However Rick at Riverside Infiniti is no longer working there. Any suggestions on where to purchase Tanabe axle back exh for my 2008 G35S 6MT Sedan? Thanks. I guess I will check Tanabe website. I thought of Rick bc it seems he offered good price... 2 years ago! :O

Are you sure Rick is no longer there? I know Tony left, but I believe Rick is still there. I was in there last week getting my oil changed and he was working then, so if he left it was within the last week.

You can also get it from Lou at Amplified Motorsports. His # is 323-881-0882 and e-mail is lroc@amplifiedmotorsports.com. He's a sponsor over on MyG37.

Thanks for alternate source info. I will check them out.

When I called Riverside Infiniti asking for Rick to order aftermarket accessories, the gal answering phone told me Rick is no longer there and referred me to Juan. Juan said same thing. I don't mean to start rumors. This is what I was told when i called. I called bc you said Rick had competitive price and previously, he seems to have helped many out of forum.

Thanks again.
