I think I may have installed my roof spoiler incorrectly. Rather than covering the gap in between where the window starts and the roof of the car, I placed the spoiler over where the widow begins at the top.

What methods have u guy used to remove the spoiler and re-install?

I get the feeling that its gonna be a pain getting off the old double sided tape even though I just installed it over the weekend.

you dont have to take it off, some people installed it on the window line while others(including me) installed from the roof line.

Its not wrong, its just about how you like the look, if you dont mind i would leave it there for a while and then later on when the glue softens in a years time then you can reinstall if you really feel like it.

That being said, I know exactly what your talking about. I like the look of the spoiler flush with where the roof ends. I took my spoiler off once. Just use a fat tip screwdriver and start working underneath from one end. You're right, it's a PITA, but if you don't like to do, that's the method I've done without damaging the spoiler. I might have scratched the underside but nobody sees that anyways.

 

I'll post pics soon guys, just been really busy. Dre Gee I'm really tempted to remove it and re-install it even though the seperation between the window line and roof lines isnt too big.

Agreed, that actually doesn't look too bad at all. I thought there'd be a more noticeable gap. But if it bothers you, then it bothers you. I could live to leave it.

Thanks fellas! The reason why I left the the gap was to allow water (rain/carwash) to be able to drain through the original grooves between the roof line and window line.

 

Looks good to me, leave it. My install is identical.

 

I say leave it as is... Looks good the way it is IMO.

If you do want to remove it, the best way I've found is to use a plastic spatula... just steal one from your wife's / gf's / mom's kitchen, sharpen the front edge of it with a file and use it to "scrape"/ "pry" it off. It works really well and won't damage the paint or window.
