Austin "Photoshoot" - Lots of pics!

So I just COULDN'T waste a good car wash - went and took some photos by the 360 bridge and surrounding area - may head back tonight around dusk
(i'm mad they never pay any attention to my exhaust, it's always filthy even after a hand wash)

enjoy.

who says you can't offroad and go uphill in a G?

sedan from above if anyone's curious

this last one is just the "snow" we got here in Austin last month haha

Why not clean your own exhaust? I wouldn't trust any car wash place to even come near my car.. especially not let them clean such a delicate piece such as an exhaust which they can easily damage using cheap products..

Anyway, a decent drop would set it off nicely IMO!

Thanks for sharing the pics btw.

I'd be more worried about them using the same mitt on my car as they did the exhaust.
I'm a 2 bucket, 3 mitt kind of guy myself... and I never touch my car with the same materials that touch my wheels and/or exhaust.

Car looks good! I like the plate frame too.

Looking good I love the above shot as well, very nice. When it comes to the exhaust I personally have used "P21S' Polishing Soap" with great results on many cars.

I'm with you... I don't trust anyone but me to wash my car. Even one grain of sand in your sponge / mitt and your screwed. Leave the car washing to the professional.. me!

Exactly!!! I'm a 2 bucket / 2 sponge guy myself. I even have a separate chamois that I use for drying off the lower portion of the car.

well the place I go changes out chamois with every car i think - i usually sit and watch to make sure it all goes well. I live in a fraternity house so I'm not exactly a good candidate for at-home car washing

when I get a chance though i take an old shirt, soap and water and clean the exhaust right up - may do that tomorrow if the weather is still gorgeous

to be honest i took the photo so you couldn't see it was hard packed mud maybe a foot or two from the passenger side of my car. Didn't actually drive on that haha - the illusions of photography!

still waiting to install my roof spoiler....ugh

Nice pics dude, some of them seem as if you're on the track.

I'm with you guys on cleaning, but I have to confess from the 2 years of owning my car the first time I clean it myself was last week , I haven't had a place to clean it in well but since moving to my new place I have a nice little spot I can wash the car and take my time, I bought a Karcher (sp) pressure washer and it's awesome.

Also after cleaning my car last week for the first time I've noticed it stays cleaner for much longer because I'm us Meguires (sp) and I think the car wash people have been using Fairy or something like that to wash the car with for 2 YEARS!!! poor car I'm gonna give it some nice loving attention from now on
