Just moved back to Michigan after living in the Cincinnati area for 8 years. We are over on the western side of the state about an hour North West of Grand Rapids. I don't really see very many G's around here and it makes me sad.

Hey NismoGirl, glad to see you moved back up here. Sounds like you're near your aunt? uncle? We talked about it before. Michigan seems a little thin on the G front outside of the Detroit region. There are maybe 5 1st Gens up here near TC, so you might have to go to the big city (Muskegon) to see any. I'm guessing you're the only one in the Shelby/Whitehall metroplex.

Welcome home.

Thanks... My mom is here along with most of my dads side of the family. I have seen a couple of G's here the past few days along with one FX but the only one that was modded was a silver coupe in Muskegon.

We are planning on going up to TC sometime this summer, we will have to get together or something.

Cherry Festival is fun, I guess. Most of us locals (I've been here almost 7 years) try to avoid most of it. The fireworks are fun, the huge azz yachts are worth drooling over, but if I go it's usually to the Beverage Pavilion (it used to be call the Beer Tent, but some wine coolers and other foofy drinks moved in). This is also just a great area in the summer.

The thing to come up for is the Film Festival in late July. It's a totally different crowd and scene than the Cherry Fest, and a lot fewer people. I've been averaging around 8-9 movies a year for the last 3 or 4 years, and was only really disappointed with one movie while being totally surprised at a number of them (Dead Snow, Tell No One, Let The Right One In). The movie schedule is released a few weeks before the festival. Check it out. http://www.traversecityfilmfest.org/

So even though I am one of the only G's around, I was on the news today. Ok not for anything special, I had just dropped off my husband at work and was returning home when I saw the camera guy on the corner. I didn't know what he was doing but then I saw my car drive past on the news. LOL What are the odds.

Around 14 seconds in.

However, it was tough to find a G35 for sale in Michigan. After searching ebay, autotrader, and checking a few out in Chicago I ended up flying out to New York City for my ideal G and drove it back to MI about 3 months ago. Also, I have to drive 60 miles east or west to go to a dealership for warranty work. Oh well, small price to pay for an amazing car.

I am from east lansing and it was hard to find the car i wanted in Mi, i ended up getting one from Chicago and driving it back. like you said i dont really see many around there (not living there right now) so thats nice.

also going back a few post i learned to just turn off VCD in the snow also. i find the car to be very predictable in the snow anyway
i just moved to lansing from TN. the first thing i noticed was that there were NO Gs around. i was like aww menn this is too cool!
