Now that 35% tints in the front/back are LEGAL in the great state of Illinois, I want to tint my windows. Anybody have any recommendations on good tint shops around here? I'd prefer somewhere out in the northwest suburbs. Thanks!

I see conflicting info about the new tint law. The local PD was confused as well and said they were temporarily not ticketing tint at all.

 

mid west glass tinters is where i've always gone, however, they are located in the south burbs of chicago..

The law passed, but the local PD seems not to be up to date. If you have to go to court by chance, print a copy of the new law and bring it. You will walk out of court happy!

 

Umbra as said above. I had my car done there and have sent many friends there as well. Quality and customer service is top notch.

 

yeah when I get tints I will be printing a copy of the bill to put in my glove box. Its rediculous how many cops arent aware of the new law.

The sad thing is there's a new bill out there trying to make them illegal in the front again The city of Chicago isnt banking off those $250 fines anymore
