Anyone here local have the Metra Kit installed with an aftermarket deck? I just put in a Pioneer P4300DVD and I get a ton of white noise out of all the speakers Im wondering if i maybe need to ground the chassis of the head unit since only touches plastic unlike the factory head unit which is in a metal cage that has a metal bar coming out of the top that grounds to the chassis. Plus now my clock doesn't light up anymore

If you used the harness you should not have any issues. When do you get it? Is it in any mode - radio/cd etc.

Yeah I used the harness. I just got it all a week ago and installed it Monday night. I have installed many stereos in my life and this is the first I have had an issue with. I get the white noise in every mode but the radio seems to not be as bad as everything else. This occurs with the car running or shut off. The stereo has an 8 band EQ and if you start to make enhancements it gets way worse in a hurry

Anyone thought about a nitrous kit or installed one in a G? I'm thinking that will be a mod in the future possibly.

 

^I had a nitrous kit in my old G35. Was a lot of fun. Ran a 75 shot. Still have the whole kit and bottles sitting in my garage from when I traded my old G in.

 

If anyone wants my old winter tire/wheel (18's) from my g35 let me know, 700 obo.

 

I got pulled over on 35 saturday night for speeding and I have tint so I rolled all my windows down. Turns out rolling your windows down is a sign of trying to clear "odors" from your vehicle. So I quickly explained that I rolled them down to cover up the tint. Haha lesson learned there. But the real reason I am posting this is to inform you that if your car is not registered in Minnesota you cannot get a tint ticket in Minnesota. Sorry if this is old news. I know it doesn't help most of you but maybe some?
