Today was the day - That's My G !

Picked up my G35X baby today. I can't stop smiling. What an absolute thrill.

Really really happy with the choice, the colour , the deal and the dealer. Never ever spent this much on a car before ( and I will be remembering that for the next 60 months), but my standard of living just took a quantum leap - feel like a king driving this thing. Just love the experience.

It sure puts all those minor complaints/nags in perspective! About 5 minutes into the stanadrd rundown, I stopped the guy - he asked was was wrong - I told him the heated seats were working!!!. He said they are ??? He knew of the issue and was as surprised as I was it was working. It was a good omen!

It's going to take a while to appreciate all the toys, but it's all that I hoped it would be. Love the intelligent key. I find the Nav is really good (and I have an impressive Garmin in the other car). Really like the SOW - I brought some CDs with me and a loaded CF card. Its sounded beautiful. I was an audiophile nut in my youth, and is was just sweet listening to jazz, rhythm & blues, big band etc. No (c)rap music for me. Rear camera is very cool though I cant yet judge where the rear of the car is. Thought the leather was like butter. Seats are super comfortable. Visibiliy is great. Plenty of power (duh). Felt very confident while driving on wet roads. And the voice prompts - its just pure beam-me-up-Scotty. I'm on the fricken bridge of the Enterprise!! I must have said "On Screen" a dozen times ( too bad its not a real command!)

And the style and wow factor - jsut great. First five minutes out, some guy motions to me at a red light to roll down my window. He was in a late model (but not new) Maxima - he had this big smile on and says "hey bud - that's the new one right? did you lease? whats the rate?". You KNOW he's gonna get one. About an hour later, I'm on the highway - middle lane, and a guy passes me ever so slowly on the right, staring at the car with a serious face- he finally exits - BMW coupe !!! Gotta love it!

I had asked the dealer not to touch the outside of the car (other than remove the shipping tape of course) and they complied. Took it right home, and snapped some pictures, here is my dirsty never-washed never-wax car (glad it rained!!!!) : https://g35driver.com/forums/showpos...6&postcount=13

Yup, that's my G ! Cant believe it's mine.

If its sunny tomorrow, hope to give it its first wash and wax.

What a day . Put on 250 kilometers !!

DAMN! That thing looks good even WET!
The build quality on this new G is spectacular...
There are even some body fit tolerances that are better than our M.

Enjoy!! Based on where you live, you'll be getting your money's worth out of the X.

Welcome to G35driver.com too.

BTW - if you look at the bottom of the screen, that's your bumper.
So you can get really close and see exactly where you are.
