Just bought a 04' 5AT...whats next?

Hey everyone,

I just bought a 04' DG 5AT, and I wanted to know whats up next to mod?

Im interested in anything bolt on, and your opinions on what I should buy first, etc.

Thanks

1) welcome and congrats
2) please use the search function. this topic has been discussed several times and the same suggestions are usually always made.
3) it's often helpful to provide as much info as possible when asking questions. in this case, your budget?

but to get you started, search the following:
motordyne plenum spacers
fast intentions, stillen, hks, greddy, injen exhausts
fast intentions test pipes/high flow cats, crawfordz high flow cats
hotchkis, stillen sway bars
tein, hks coilovers
camber kits
there's tons more...such as exterior mods (clear corners are a popular first mod)

as you can see, there are plenty of ways to start modding. it just depends on what you want to do first and what your budget allows.

Good luck on your purchase, and welcome to the board.....

Ahero touched upon alot of things to do, provided your budget will allow....

Alot of first mods appearance wise would be
Tints....if they are legal in your state
Fog/High Beam bulb replacements....if you like the fogs to match the HID's better
Rims/Tires upgrade....depending on your OEM rims..17 or 18"...You could go larger/wider better lip etc.
There are a lot of aftermarket spoilers/bumpers grilles and such...

Do a search or look in the media share for some ideas of what other members here have done to personalize their own cars...

Good luck and let the modding begin.

I'm looking at the Volk TE37's for rims...I have the OEM 18's on it now.

Tints are legal where I am (Connecticut) and I have a friend that owns a car audio/video/tints shop so I'm deff throwing on some 20% tints.

Budget wise...probably around 3-4g for now.

Thanks for the help...minus what the last idiot said.

In reference to the 06' projector headlights...is $650 a good price for a complete set which includes bulbs, etc.?
Minor scratches on them.

3-4g's...if i had to do it all over again, i wouldve considered going f/i more seriously. but instead, i decided to go the n/a route and make my car pretty

so what is most important to you?

a fast car?
a good looking car?
a car that handles well?
a car that sounds good?

i know we all want them all, but realistically (for most of us), we have to choose what's most important to us and do those mods first.

In reality, I would like a mix between a good looking and good sounding, but more towards looks, as I have a 5AT.

However, I've seen most of the aftermarket body kits/parts, and I would much rather just add...say a carbon fiber hood, trunk, and lip.

Opinions? And in terms of audio/video, thats all going to be taken care of outside of that budget

Thanks again

Sell it and buy a manual transmission because infiniti cant even build a transmission for this car that is reliable. I think my tranmission took a dump tonight while just driving down the road.

get the z tube + jwt Pop charger combo seems to be very popular on the boards..and a cheap starting mod only running about $200 altogether...i went the cosmetic route first and picked up some rims ..but imo get the bigger purchases out of the way first...then go from there
