500 over invoice no trade in.

I ended up asking for a quote through edmunds for dealerships within 50 miles two days ago. I had 8 dealerships fighting for my deal. Monclaire dealership had the best price and my car in stock with 8 miles on it (no test drives).

So I drove it home last night and couldn't be happier. Now I just have to keep my 4 1/2 and 1 1/2 year old boys from scratching it!

You mean, Montclair? Did you deal with J****? She was not willing to go any lower than $1,000 over invoice on my deal last week.

 

yeah and she said I can use her name Jodie and refer people to her from this site. I just told her about this forum and how a lot of people are buying the car in OC and LA for invoice to 500 over and I will not pay over that. She started at 1000 over. Just tell her about the negociated thread on this site and she will go down to 500. Tell her Kevin sent you

thanks bat. I will be taking pictures soon. I can't stand this break in period. Don't tell anyone but I have broken the rules a couple of times!!! I floored it at 9 miiles when i got on the freeway. couldn't resist. I am better now!

how much over invoice did Metro Infiniti quote you?
their inventory sucks. I'd be surprised if they tried to rip you off.


were you allowed to inspect and test drive the car before signing the papers?

 

I don't remember i think metro quoted 1200 over. I inspected the car but didn't ask to test drive it. It had 9 miles on it so I didn't think it was needed.

 

i guess i won't be going to metro then, although they are only 3 miles away.
who do they think they are.... $1200 over, even with 6 dealerships within 30 miles.

 

every situation is different. go through edmunds and submit to every dealership within 50 miles. Get a ton of emails and calls and let them know that you want your price and nothing more.

Make sure you put exactly what you want in the comments section even if you filled it out in the fields above. I put in the comments that i was buying a car this weekend and if you have the car and have the best price I will buy from you. Got some BS but ended up with a good deal. Took me 4 hours responding to emails on my phone and talking to dealerships calling me. I played with my kids outside during this whole ordeal. Deal was done and I drove out the next day to pick it up. Best way to buy.

I pick-up my from Infiniti of Montclair less than two weeks ago and I'm impress with Jody (internet sales manager). She gave the best price among any Infiniti dealers within 100 miles! My G35 S has the liquid platinum exterior, stone interior and premium package. The clutch is a little sensative @ first but got accustom to it after a few short drives and it sure beats the Audi A4 that I had before! No more $1,700 timing belt changes or engine leaking oil! Can't wait until more performance upgrades are available.
