New 04 G35x owner!

I just got my G35x yesterday. I love it so far! It is so fun to drive. I am coming from a 5 spd 01 Honda Accord so this is a major upgrade. I have always drove manuals so this is taking a little getting use to but I LOVE the fact that I can put it into the manual shifting. I thought it was kind of pointless but I really actually like using it.

I got the X with 27000 miles on it it is Twilight Blue and seems to handle great. I noticed the breaks seemed a little slow. Is that the ABS causing it to be like that?

Also can anyone tell me how the maintenance needs to be done? Do you need to take it to the dealer for everything?

Also I have the Nav package on mine. Has anyone upgraded the DVD? Is it worth it?

Thanks!!!

Congrats and welcome.

No maintenance needs to be done at the dealer... if you have a trusted shop or you like to DIY you should be fine

as for the upgraded navi DVD looks will be the same

Congrats on the G. Our 04 X is great!

BTW your breaks seem slow? Ours are touchy as can be and always have been.

Thumbs up Brakes

I drove my G35x again today and didn't notice the same braking performance as I did yesterday. Still Loving it. This morning I turned the snow feature off and it felt just like the G35 to me.

Where has everyone been buying their tires from? I had a friend tell me to check out TireRack.com.

Welcome! I'm new here as well but just wanted to say hi and congrats on your new baby! I love my '04 G35x.

I have to admit when I test drove the car before purchasing I thought the breaks were a little slow also. New brakes were put on prior to my purchase and are still not as touchy as I'd like. I figure I need to break them in a bit. We'll see. Anyway, welcome and enjoy the ride.
