Hi guys. I have a new to me G35x and have already learned a lot from these forums, thanks.

I got an '05 G35x with get this... 8600 miles on it! I think it has every available option on it except NAV. I've had it about 3-4 weeks with it and honestly can find very little on it that doesn't look showroom new. It even still smells new. I'm thrilled, what a good buy. I REALLY wanted a 6MT but I am really picky about my cars and had a hard time finding a manual that didn't look like it had been run hard.

Anyway, after a few weeks I have some questions.

One of my only major gripes about driving is the twitchiness of the accelerator and brakes at slow speeds. I've seen something about reprogramming the accelerator map on the new model, is that an option on an '05? And is there any adjustment on the sensitivity of the OEM brakes?

Second, with the tiptronic trans setting, when you push it over to the right from auto to manual, does it always immediately downshift one gear when you move it to the right? Seems that way but I'm not sure and to me this is important to understand because since it doesn't help with acceleration, the only reason the manumatic is useful is either for downshifting or for temporarily switching over to hold a gear for handling/cornering purposes. This is only my second auto tranny in my entire life. I found a thread explaining how it works and that the sedan is different than coupe, but mine clearly does NOT work the way it was explained in that thread. Mine works the way they explained the coupe. Maybe they were talking about '04 and before and it was changed?

Is is possible to remove the SAT antenna? I hate that black blob on the roof and I'd rather get the ipod hookups than have SAT. But if it cannot be removed perfectly so that you totally cannot tell it was ever there, I'd rather not take any chances.

I only got one of the main keys. I have the wallet key and the normal looking key but I only got one of the intelligent keys. Is the dealer my only option for getting another? They want $200 for the key and reprogram. I've seen them on ebay, has anyone figured out how to program them? I see a lot about programming keys but it is never discussion about the intelligent key. Is that because it's impossible to do yourself without the diagnostic computer?

What about tint? I've read a lot about tint around here but it is all suggestions for 5-20%. I really want more like 50% for the purpose of just a barely tinted look and most importantly to keep the interior a little cooler and reduce sun wear on the interior. I just traded in a black car with black leather interior with a 40-50% tint and after years, the leather still looked great. That tint had a very slightly metallic look to it (not the ricey looking metallic but the heat sheilding metallic) that didn't bother me, but I'd rather not have that. Plus it has been so long since I'd done it, I have no idea what it was. Anyone know anything about quality of brands for very light tint?

OK, thats a lot of questions for a noob. Am I gonna get flogged or should I separate these questions out to different threads? I've spent time searching for these answers already but if I missed it, you can just link me to the answer and call me names.
