New G35 Owner here!

Hello, I just bought myself a 2008 G35. I terminated my 2006 BMW 325i (ZSP ZPP) lease early to get in to the G, if I kept the BMW with the miles I drive it would have ended up costing me more than just getting rid of it now. Plus with 1.9% APR you can't say no.

Here are the options on my car
Sport Package
Premium Package
Technology Package
Navigation Package
4WAS

Platinum Graphite with Stone interior

I paid 36k + fees for it, not a bad deal considering the options i think?

So far I love the car, it feels like it outperforms my old BMW in every way. I was surprised how well it held a line through a corner at speeds my BMW could never take. The interior is less refined than the BMW, but to be honest the BMW interior tends to look very plain jane, if not a bit aged.

A few questions for the experts here
This car is a Nissan Skyline 350 GT in Japan correct?

Is there any way to make the doors lock when the car starts to move and unlock when the engine stops?

Can you lookup things in the Nav based on business name, or do you have to have the address?

Many thanks, and I look forward to talking with you all

The car in Japan is indeed a Nissan 350 GT, or 250 GT with the 2.5L v6. That's about all I can answer, don't have factory nav, never looked into auto locks.

Anyway, welcome and congrats on the car!

Auto lock can be done with a modification done by kptechnologies...he's very active on this board.

You can look up destinations by name, but not while vehicle is moving and not with voice activiation. Hit destination, then point of interest, then by name. Going off memory...but I think that's right.

With the KPtechnologies NI35 module you can look up destinations and access all the Music Box features while moving.

That's a sweet price with the options you got. I paid about the same minus the 4WAS so it's really sweet!

Any pics of your new car?

I'll post some photos once I get home. I am stuck in Georgia (Atlanta Suburb) until Friday, then off to Vegas for VMWorld on Sunday, and Santa Clara the week after that. Gotta love back to back to back training sessions.

I have a Saturn Aura as a rental here in GA, I miss my G... Hell I miss California's weather too.
