Another Subaru ---> G35 Convert [56k Fail]

Proud new owner of an 2006 Ivory Pearl G35. It has the Premium Package w/ Sat nav and 21k miles so far. Already ordered rear valence overlay and it is on the way to fix a bit ugly one in that spot.

I've been a bit overexcited in my last few years of car ownership. I've gone through 5 cars in the last 4 years, this is going to be my 6th. The last 3 were subarus. Started with a 2.5rs which is the older impreza but it didn't come turbo. I wanted the real thing so I ended up working on it for two years building a RHD replica in a usdm shell w/ the japanese STi powertrain. Bought a 02 WRX wagon as a daily driver. Eventually the costs of the project racked up and it never hit the bodyshop for fit, finish and paint. I sold my gc8 at the end of november for a tremendous loss. It was a bit sad to see it go as I did all work on it myself. It was my learner car on being a mechanic. What i've learned is, I don't like working on cars. :] I can do it out of neccessity but it's nicer to stay clean and to have power locks, speakers, and sound deadening.

The thing was a beast though. 12 second car. 280hp in a 2600 pound stripped Impreza L. The WRX wagon will go soon as well. I'm moving down to socal in a few months and I needed a single car that would suit my purpose and be reliable instead of having 2 very similar cars. I've only had the G for a few days but I'm loving it so far, super comfy. The clutch is the opposite of a subaru and a heavy RWD car after a super light AWD car with a quickrack and a lightweight flywheel is quite at ends with each other. Thus I'm taking it slow and getting accustomed to this bad boy. Can't wait to see what this thing can do.

Here's a few pics of the GC8, Wagon, and G

Last but not least.

Was playing with iphoto here, not much you can do, but I tried lol. Need to find my copy of Aperture

Thanks, haha. I miss that thing. I kind of wish I could have taken it to the end. Just needed a paintjob and a little more TLC. Mechanically it was done. Performance-wise, it was my ideal car but would never be a comfortable daily drive, drivethru's and toll booths suck. Enjoying the G so far. It's not quite as quick as I would have wanted but it is definately nice to have torque everywhere.
