New 2008 G35x Sedan
New 2008 G35x Sedan
Hey all, new to this forum. I went to a local dealer the other day looking for some pricing on leasing a G37x Sedan...unfortunately they gave me a quote of $609 p/month without premium package. It was pretty obvious they wanted to get rid of the 2008's first. So I wound up getting the 2008 G35x with premium package...NY 8.625 taxes rolled in, 595 bank fee rolled in, and 0 down for $459 a month... I think I made out pretty well...what do you guys think? wondering if I could have waited a month or 2 for the g37 to get to that price...
How many months is your lease?
I got 39 months for $463 a month, 15k miles a year , G35x premium, sports package. First months payment out of pocket, taxes rolled into payments.
50% residual, money factor came out to %4. Got it for $1350 under invoice.

39 months as well. I dont know what my residual or money factor was though...
I think I can buy out the lease for about $19,200. What % is your taxes...NY is pretty high at 8.625%.....they got me on the disposition fee though....I have leased 2 other nissan/infiniti cars, and neither had a disposition fee....they just added it at the beginning of the month

The disposition fee is a "new thing" for 2008 and 2009 according to infiniti, which seems hard to believe but whatever. I got that rolled into the payment anyway. I am in NY as well so taxes do suck, the buyout seems kind of high, mine was somwhere close to $17,xxx i cant remember right now. They did try to tell me that my credit is bad and raised me to Tier2, little did they know A friend of mine works for Infiniti financial and was able to give me heads up that i do qualify for Tier 0, which is now called L0. Its actually simple, your residual changes according to miles per year you want, your money factor changes based on your credit. Most of the time at least. Also i was able to use the $1500 in incentives from the factory.
In any case, doesn't matter now, I love the car and I wouldn't trade it for anything else, except an M5.

cool...looks like you got a good deal too...I love the car as well...I just think its such a sharp looking car...I was debating between the 328xi and this car, but I just thought looks wise, I like the g35 was better.....especially the interior...I think my 2000 328 interior was just as impressive as the 2009...I just dont understand that...plus the run flat issues they have been having seems like a nightmare. Very happy with my decision.
M5, damn that would be sweet!

haha i was considering the 335, actually i was very close to getting it until i drove the G. You got to understand, i hated Nissan's and Infiniti's. I just couldn't stand the car until i test drove one. In about 15 minutes i was able to make the deal. I went home after that to check the numbers and came in the next day to pick up the car.
One thing that i don't get is why they didn't make the headrest lean more forward, i think its too far back and doesn't support your head very well.
Oh yeah, also getting back to the BMW vs G debate, i just could justify the 12k price difference, even though the 335 has a way better residual its still comes to about $130 more a month with similar features.

Wow, that is funny... I guess the G's drive really made that big of an impression on you huh! From not even liking the brand to making a deal in 15 minutes!
The 12k price difference for the 335 is really a lot...I was looking at the 328xi, with only a sunroof and ipod connection...the lowest I could get him to go was 513 a month...but my decision was pretty much made on the G before I went to the BMW dealer anyway. I dont really have that issue with the headrest that you mentioned... So I assume your mind is changed on Infiniti's now huh?

Yeah it was a tough decision, before I had Audi A4, Acura TSX and Acura TL. I wanted something more sporty and faster. I always wanted a BMW, not for the brand, but for the way it drives. I mean its a great car, it handles better than the G and it seems more refined. However like I said i just couldn't justify the price difference. Also, you cant compare a 328 with the G, its more of a 335 competitor. I drove both the 328 and 335 and its a huge difference in power. My mind is definitely changed about the brand, to me its still a Nissan as Acura a Honda and so on... but it doesn't matter, the car has all the features that i was looking for. It has the power, most of the time its a rear-wheel power and all-wheel when you need it, it has all the basic convenient features that i need (heated seats, etc, etc). And its also easy on the eyes from the outside. I was also considering Pontiac G8 for the power but decided not to lease it based on very bad residual values.
Yeah, I know the G is more of a 335 competitor, but that was way out of my price range. Before I've had a 2000 328i, a 2004 G35, 2007 Murano....I love this G though...big improvement over the last model...Enjoy the car.
Took delivery this afternoon!
2009 G37X 7AT Sedan Liquid Plat/Graphite/Navi/Premium
Does anyone know where I can find the thread/post in which someone listed a bunch of interesting/hardly known features on the G? Now that we've bought one, it is something I'd like to read again. (I know the manual will have it all, but this was a quick tip sheet & very nice)
Also want to know if the Navi has tracked the last 30 miles that were put on the car before we picked it up. Was hoping for under 20 miles, but got 45. Salesman doesn't know how an add'l 30 miles got put on the car since he ordered it from the Port & it had 10 miles at time of order last week. Car was delivered Fri afternoon via car carrier & we picked it up today. No one at the dealership drove it other than to fill it up with gas so a bit odd & no explanation could be offered. Just one of those things....
It's no big deal, but I'm interested to know if those miles are somewhere on the Navi.

Welcome catlover! I can't answer your question, as I don't have navi on mine, however, you may get a response if you start your own thread in the newbie section. Someone out there will have your answer.

Like you, I started looking at the G37 and they priced it out of my range in the high 5's low 6's. I got instead a new 08 G35x with premium and for 39 months I'm paying $453 and they paid my last 2 lease payments on my old car, $2500 out of pocket plus typical fees (totalling $5k at signing).
I'm pretty happy with the deal and the experience and im thrilled with the car
