Considering buying an '05
Considering buying an '05
Hey all, seems like there's a LOT of information here. I'm looking to sell my truck and get a nice car. My main reason for switching is gas mileage.. My Dakota got about 16 average, please tell me a G35 gets better! Also, I'm 17 so I'm really into modding.. And a dodge Dakota has literally no aftermarket support. Does the g35 have a lot of options?
Here's the G35 I'm considering: http://autos.yahoo.com/used-cars/infiniti-g35-cars369705698;_ylt=AsRusrNHN8qWnJyGHYbhLXU_WY54;_y lv=3?sortcol=price&sortdir=up&location=Covington%2 C+LA+70433&listingtype=used&model=g35&make=infinit i&distance=50
Thanks, Kyle

Didnt get to see the G but a gotta love the choice. And yes the G35 has plenty of options in mods. Im sure you can find what your looking for in the vendor section. Good luck and have fun modding
The G molding options are endless when you consider all the combinations.
Read up on gas mileage on these cars. You won't be getting much better mileage in this car than you do in your truck. Mileage drops seriously over 60-65. Average mileage is probably 16-19 city, and 21-24 highway.
Mileage claims are higher, and I've done much better than these averages myself, but only when short shifting and really babying the car. Short shifting and babying are things normally referred to with the G, in fact, the opposite is true.
Another disadvantage is they require 90+ octane to perform properly and not ping under load. The best I can get locally is 91, in Texas I ran 93..
Just be smart going in and know what you're getting yourself into. There are countless "gas mileage" threads here that will give you plenty of info, bit I'll tell you right now that few are pleased with the mileage these cars deliver. Some mods can make it even worse.
Either way, it's completely worth it. I could give a crap about the gas. When it needs gas I fill it with the best I can find and keep on rocking. It's worth every penny.
