About to be a New Owner...So Pumped

Hey guys, how's it going? The name's Brennan, and I'm soon to be an owner of an 04' G35 Coupe (auto, yes I like autos so drop it) bone stock. I know the aftermarket for Gs is vast and I would rather get one that I know is solid and not messed with so that I can do it myself. I'm pretty damn excited, my car right now, soon to be sold, is an 01' mustang gt. It's a semi-fast car, has a few mods, but overall, it's a POS. Run it hard and it wears out. Drive fast and it's shaky. It's obnoxiously loud even at low rpms. It's not quite a refined machine like the G. So I'm excited to get the G and I'm looking forward to gaining knowledge about it and the aftermarket. Hopefully soon I'll have a fast and mean looking G. I know there are stickies on this, but any recommendations on first mods? The G aftermarket is probably different than the stang am, just don't want to buy anything that has minimum gain, want to get the most for my money (who doesn't?). Thanks guys, can't wait to enjoy the G.

LOL. The G Coupe is refined? You're going to be in for a surprise. Look forward to fixing a few things upon ownership. Don't forget tune-ups.

First of all, it's from an Infiniti dealership and has been inspected so I won't have to buy anything right away. Second, I'm coming from an 01 Gt man, anything is refined... Haha

I see. But have them check the #6 sparkplug for oil. Most inspection don't involve checking that. It'll cost you up to 1 grand to fix it.

Welcome to the fam! The G is going to be a lot of fun, but don't expect huge gains from anything other than FI. It's just not a race car but the stares you get might make up for it! (does for me)
