. I just didn't know if this was typical with these cars due to their low quality paint jobs.
Though I still think the chipping is strange... I have owned a 96 cavalier, 99 cavalier, and 99 crown vic, none of which had any paint chipping whatsoever (well except for the rust spots). Paint fade, yes for sure, especially the GMs
. I guess it's just a roll of the die, depending on how the previous owner drove it, and where.

You might be able to clay bar or buff those a little and pull some of the black out.
