New G owner from PA
Just got my G officially 4 days ago. a couple days before my birthday. Gave myself a nice little present. 07 black coupe 6mt. First stick shift car. still learning feel bad for the G. I still have no real idea how to handle hills yet so I avoid them.... Rims came with the car. Has a few minor flaws, I plan to fix. Probably tint, new rims, exhaust, intake. car looks like it sits a little low havent checked suspension yet though. Any good advice for learning to tackle hills without going backwards into someone are welcome! so far I've peeled out accidentally and went backwards and had car shut off... ( noone was behind me!!!)

Learning mt on g....not something I would do. all I can say is practice it on empty parking lot. Find the spot where car backs on neutral and learn to move forward without pressing gas.
One of my friend went to s.f with his first mt car and stalled 16 times at the light...not as luck as you he had mass traffic behind him. LMAO

Congrats on the new ride.
Learning ho to drive a stick can be tricky. I learned years ago on a Chevy Spectrum. For me the best way to navigate hills was learning how to apply the same amount of force to the gas peddle that I was releasing from the clutch for example put your hands out in front of you. Pretend your right hand is the accelerator and your left hand is the clutch. As you slowly push down on your right hand pull back on your left. The trick is...as you slowly push down on the accelerator lift off the clutch it's almost like transferring power from the clutch to the accelerator with your feet (you have to visualize it). Once I started visualizing it in my mind applying it to my feet. Now whenever I teach someone to drive a stick I use this method and they learn pretty quickly. Also learning in vacant parking lots can only make you better so hop to it. Hope this helps.

Also a new G owner in PA. Altoona PA. I just bought an 04 Ivory Pearl sedan 6mt. I am also new to driving stick and yeah hills are tricky for me as well...lol. I need to get my ebrake adjusted because I cannot pull off the ebrake trick that everyone keeps talking about. But welcome and glad to see another PA owner.
