Just to follow up, the vibration in the rear was caused by a seized caliper. That was replaced, along with brake pads on both sides. I have since also changed out both front hub bearing assemblies and now the rear passenger side needs replacing. I've been researching that and it seems rather difficult.

I'll be getting a bearing puller and pusher soon so I can mount the new bearing on the hub.

Service engine light has appeared (YAY) and I ran the code and it comes back as bank 1 catalytic converter. I'm gonna replace the 02 sensor first and clear the code and see what happens. I think this is the passenger side from what I've read.

I installed an AEM cold air intake, and a carbon fiber hood with aerocatch pins. 02 sensor should be arriving any day, I'm seriously hoping that's the fix. If not.... I'll probably upgrade to a high flow catalytic converter.

I'd replace them with hfc's and upgrade the exhaust from the cat back. The hood looks good but, the black wheels need replacing. What else is in the works.

screw hfc. get resonated test pipes, and extend the o2 bungs on the rear o2 sensors and you are good to go.

im surprised you got the car for so much off for some very minor issues.

Thumbs down

Yes, screw those cats. Especially if you don't want to pass emissions and, who wants to keep switching them out just to pass.

i dont have emissions or inspections of any kind. sucks to suck.
and installing hfc in places you do have emissions, 99% of the time you still need to extend the o2 bung to make the cel to stop. and most hfc are not 50 state legal.

so in any form or fashion where hfc are ok to be used. then just use resonated test pipes or long tubes.

I like the black wheels, they could use a powdercoating for sure though.

Next? Lots of random noises in places I want to address. Rattling when accelerating. Maybe heat shields on the cats? Strange whining noise since I installed the intake, not coming from the intake side of the engine but the opposite side. I can't tell if it is a belt or what.. it's annoying.

That's it for this year probably. I may start getting parts together for a turbo. Fuel pumps, bigger injectors.. etc

Congrats on the new G and welcome to the forum.

Sounds like you got a decent deal. I'm not too crazy on the black wheels but if it works for you, its all good.
