Checking out a local G35

Hey guys, I'm new from Chattanooga, TN. I've always liked the 350Zs and G35s and had my 98 SC300 up for sale/trade and a local guy with a G35 messaged me.

He has an 04 sedan with 200k, passes emissions, clean title, etc. It has a couple little dings here and there and basic used car scratches. It's the desert platinum metallic and looks pretty nice with the black interior.

I did have one question though: when checking his car out, the driver side on the front must have hit a pole in a parking lot or someone backed into it or whatever and there is some slight cracking in the paint on the bumper and the part by the turn signal by the wheel has been zip tied to hold it in place a little and the headlights have been swapped to some aftermarket it appears...anyways, that area behind the bumper (underhood) that is the poly resin material has a crack in it, around the area I circled in a pic I found online. Is that meant to be an easily damaged area to absorb impact, or is a crack in that area indicative that it was a pretty hard hit?
